In light of a recent movement in DeviantArt Resources, it has come to our attention that there are many stock artists among us that have stock they wish to list as "unrestricted", but do not wish for those stock deviations to be confused with "restricted" stock already present in their gallery. (Restricted here having the meaning of stock which have separate rules laid out by the original creator.) This is not to say that restricted stocks are lesser, only that different rules apply to both.  

For both existing stock artists, and those that wish to contribute stock for unrestricted use, you have found the place.

Allow US to explain what this means:

Unrestricted resources refers to any stock image, brush pack, texture, or other submission with the purpose of being used to create Artwork, or any of the following:

    Websites, journals and banners
     Literary tags and images
     Advertising, publishing, portfolios
     Games, packaging, electronic media, etc.
     For traditional artists, as reference source.
     And of course on dA and offsite prints
